Why should I, Windswept, compose?

Why should I put letters together to form words?
Why should I put words together to form sentences?
Why should I put sentences together to form stanzas?
Why should I put stanzas together to form a poem?

Within a letter, a word, a sentence, a stanza, a poem
are Windswept’s heartfelt and softheld thoughts,
Composition pours out onto a page randomly releasing
rhyme and reason that reveal her musings.

It is Windswept’s desire to leave the reader
letters, words, sentences, stanzas, a poem
to challenge, reflect, reveal and even possibly change
or open a new perspective of knowing oneself or others.

Why should I, Windswept, compose?
It’s a connection, of letters, words, sentences, stanzas, poems and hearts.
